Ohio Public Time Frames Serve prime contractor within 21 days after first furnishing. Serve the surety a formal statement of the amount due not later than 90 days after the project is accepted. After 60 days from the formal statement but not later than 1 year after acceptance of the Public Works Project. Amount of Bond—100% of contract price. Contracts Excluded—No specific statutory provision. Ohio Public Improvement Lien Time Frames   Serve prime contractor within 21 days after first furnishing. The lien against contract funds must be served on the public authority within 120 days of the last furnishing of materials or services. A copy of the sworn statement is also served on the general contractor as well as any intermediate subcontractors. The Attested Account Affidavit is also filed with the County Recorder within 30 days. Within 60 days from notice to commence.
